Origin
Back Bay Aquatics was founded in 2004 by Marc Hunt and Jesse Briggs, both coaches with deep collegiate and national-team backgrounds. Marc had just begun his sixteen-year run as UC Irvine men's water polo head coach; Jesse was building what would become University High School's most consistent CIF program.

A year-round, two-program operation spanning water polo and swimming, with age-group coaches across 10U through 18U.

USA Water Polo
Affiliated with USA Water Polo, the national governing body for the sport. All age-group athletes 10U and above are USA Water Polo members; teams compete in sanctioned Junior Olympic events, ODP camps, and Futures Superfinals.
