The Coaching Staff
Twenty-two collegiate seasons. One Olympian produced. 70+ collegiate NCAA athletes. The Back Bay staff have built and coached at the levels they prepare athletes for.

Marc has coached at every level of US water polo, from age-group club teams through Division 1 collegiate and USA National. The teaching habit threads through all of it: the program builds athletes who win games and pass tests, in that order.

Coaching at this level is teaching young people to do hard things well, then again, then better. The water polo is the vehicle for the habit.Marc Hunt
At Back Bay, Marc heads the 14U+ boys group and oversees the boys-side curriculum through 18U. Practices run Mon-Fri at University High School, with weekend tournament travel across CIF and beyond.

Jesse runs the girls-side program and the broader operations of Back Bay. As University High School’s head coach since 2017, he has built one of the most consistent CIF programs in Southern California while developing athletes who go on to win at every collegiate level.
The goal is not just to win a Junior Olympic title. The goal is to build athletes who win in college and in life. The titles follow.Jesse Briggs
